10 in 10: Day 6- 2 IKEA Hacks to Save Space in a Small Nursery
/**First of all, I apologize I did not publish my blog yesterday. We went to the mountain yesterday, and I was so exhausted from the trip. But, as my original challenge implies, I will still publish 10 posts in 10 days. Thanks for understanding!**
As you know, my nursery is not so big. I have a cube bookcase, but will that be enough book storage? With just enough room for the essentials, I may choose another creative way to store children's books. Here are two IKEA Hacks that I found on Pinterest:
The first idea I've seen many times over the last several years. This project is really just a repurposed item, and does not even require a new coat of paint. Perfect for those of you who have yet to brave a DIY! The MOSSLANDA picture ledge comes in black or white, and in two different lengths. This items has a very simple, sleek, and modern style to it. As you can see, you can store many books in a slim way on the wall. Mount them at child's reach or higher on the wall for display.
This is the first time I've seen the second idea, and I think it is just so clever! Another simple repurpose, but this time with a spice rack. I prefer this style because it feels a little bit safer when I think of a book tipping over. Or maybe that's because I grew up in California where we had earthquakes...Either way, I like how Your DIY Family decided to put a personal touch of color on the safety bar. Now it looks like a designer piece, don't you think? It's such an easy way to incorporate this piece into your color scheme. The BEKVAM spice rack comes only in this one finish and one length. It's also modern, but can be any style with the right coat of paint.
